Lectures on theory and field study. This service is mainly intended for scientists engaged in research and education.
Specialized study tours and training sessions. According to the needs of participants, single or multi-specialty tours will be organized. Topics include desertification control and the development of desert areas; integrated control of small drainages; farmland shelterbelts; coastal shelterbelts; forestry for soil and water conservation; diversified agroforestry models in different climatic zones (tropical, subtropical, temperate and boreal regions); improvement, cultivation and utilization of multiple purpose tree species (bamboo, paulownia, poplar, eucalyptus, Chinese fir, pine, elm, casuarina, acacia, mulberry and various shrubs); biological pest control and use of natural enemies; wood processing and chemical processing of forest products (including finger printing jointing and the use of active carbon, resin, tannin extracts, Chinese gall, refined fuel, vegetable, tannins); processing and utilization of non-wood forest products, and others.

Plains in the Warm Temperate Zone: (Beijing-Hebei-Shandong-Henan) Focuses on tree improvement (paulownia, poplar, willow, elm, date and shrubs), intercropping models, farmland shelterbelts, forestry for soil and water conservation, and pest control and management.
Temperate Areas in the Northeast: Temperate Areas in the Northeast: (Beijing-Liaoning-Jilin-Heilongjiang) Focuses on farmland shelterbelts and integrated pest management.
Arid and Semi-arid Areas in the Northwest: Arid and Semi-arid Areas in the Northwest: (Shanxi, Shanxi or Inner Mongolia-Ningxia-Gansu-Xinjiang) Focuses on desert control and afforestation techniques in arid regions.
Hilly Areas in the Eastern Subtropics: Hilly Areas in the Eastern Subtropics: (Anhui-Zhejiang-Jiangxi-Fujian) Focuses on the improvement and utilization of multi-purpose trees (Bamboo, paulownia, poplar, elm, Chinese fir, pine, casuarina, acacia, mulberry and a variety of shrubs) including bamboo processing, silkworm breeding, developing rural industries, biological pest control and use of natural enemies, as well as agroforestry models in the warm temperate zone.
Subtropics and Tropics: Subtropics and Tropics: (Guangdong-Guangxi-Hainan) Focuses on coastal protection forests, the improvement, cultivation and utilization of multiple purpose trees (bamboo, eucalyptus, pine, casuarina, acacia and shrubs), biological control of pests and the use of natural enemies.
Subtropical and Tropical Hilly Areas in the Southwest: Subtropical and Tropical Hilly Areas in the Southwest: (Sichuan-Guizhou Yunnan, including Xishuangbanna, or Yunnan-Sichuan-Tibet) Focuses on various farm forestry models and development of hilly lands in the subtropics and tropics, development of mountainous areas and comprehensive agroforestry systems on sloping lands in the Himalayas.
